A scale located in a steelyard in Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, is once again attracting many young people who want to check their weight.
Tuesday was the start of summer, based on the lunar calendar and many people visited the scale that's 100 years old. It can only weigh those under 100 kilograms.
Many believe the old Chinese saying: "Those who weigh themselves at the beginning date of summer would have good luck during the year."
And the custom has lasted for more than 1,700 years.
