BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- China on Thursday announced placing 14 foreign entities, including Dedrone by Axon and TechInsights Inc. and its branches, on an unreliable entity list, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

The foreign entities are prohibited from engaging in import and export activities related to China, and are forbidden from making new investments in China, according to an announcement by the ministry.

Organizations and individuals within China are prohibited from conducting transactions, cooperation and other activities with these entities, particularly the transmission of data and provision of sensitive information to them.

Foreign entities such as Dedrone by Axon and TechInsights Inc. and its branches, have, despite China's strong opposition, engaged in so-called military-technical cooperation with Taiwan, published malicious statements concerning China, and assisted foreign governments in suppressing Chinese enterprises, said a spokesperson for the ministry.

These actions have seriously harmed China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests, the spokesperson noted.

The spokesperson added that the Chinese government, as always, welcomes enterprises from all over the world to invest and operate in China and is committed to providing a stable, fair, and predictable business environment for law-abiding and compliant foreign-invested enterprises operating in the country.
