The speaker of Malaysia's House of Representatives has said that the country will continue searching for missing flight MH370 until its fate has been discovered.

Pandikar Amin Mulia made the remarks in his talks with top Chinese legislator Zhang Dejiang on Tuesday, also meeting separately with Chinese President Xi Jinping the same day.

China hopes Malaysia can continue to coordinate with relevant countries to plan search efforts and handling of the aftermath, and try to find the plane as soon as possible, Xi said.

Zhang also urged Malaysia to make intensified efforts in this regard. He thanked Malaysia for its hard work in pacifying families of the passengers.

Pandikar told Zhang that Malaysia is grateful for China's understanding, support and assistance in the process.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, carrying 239 passengers and crew, disappeared on March 8 after leaving Kuala Lumpur en route to Beijing.

Despite a multinational search and rescue effort -- the largest and most expensive marine search ever undertaken -- no confirmed flight debris or crash site has been found.

Pandikar and his delegates from the Malaysian House of Representatives were invited by Zhang to visit China from June 22 to 28. Endi
