Dalai clique fabricates victim list
Adjust font size:

On March 25th, the Dalai clique released a list containing the "names and details of 40 people" alleged to have died in the March 14th riots in Lhasa.

But Lhasa police say their investigation found the list is totally fake and meant to conceal the violence masterminded by the Dalai clique.

16 people on the so-called death list have their birthplaces or residences in Lhasa. 24 others are listed as from Sichuan and Gansu provinces, but no exact addresses were given for them.

There are only five people from Lhasa with detailed residences, including 26-year-old Rigzin Choenyi at Lhasa's Shugseb nunnery, 31-year-old Losang Tsepel at Sera Monastery, 28-year-old Ngodup from Tibet University, 23-year-old Lobsang Doma from Garu nunnery, and 20-year-old Ngawang Thekchen in Taklung Drak Monastery.

Bian Yanjie, head of Police substation, Tibet University, said, "There's no student at this age in our university. Actually we have two colleagues named Ngodup, but both are over 45 years old. There are 10 others have Ngodup in their names."

Here are the 12 Ngodups at Tibet University. This teacher named Ngodup Namgyai was giving a class when the March 14th riot took place.

Zhou Cide, deputy director of Personnel Division, Tibet University, said, "It's obvious that none of our 12 colleagues is on the list. The Dalai Lama is lying."

The Dalai Clique claims that a 26-year-old nun named Rigzin Choenyi from the Shugseb nunnery was killed in the March 14th riot, but one senior nun in the nunnery says the information is fake. There are over 110 Tibetan nuns living at the nunnery. The senior nun showed the ID registration of all the nuns, and said none of them died on March 14th.

As for the five people in Lhasa with detailed information, local police have found there are only four people in the city whose names are the same or similar with the so-called victims in the Dalai clique's death list, but their ages are not right, and the four are still alive. The fifth one does not exist at all.

As for 11 others in Lhasa on the Dalai clique's death list, Lhasa police say the list didn't provide their detailed address or occupation, which made them impossible to investigate.
