April 4: Police have discovered evidence the March 17 riot in Aba prefecture, Sichuan Province, was masterminded by the same people as the March 14 riot in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, said Xiao Youcai, deputy head of the Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province yesterday. A report in Canada's national newspaper The Globe and Mail shows why many Western media made the same mistakes in reporting on the Lhasa riots. A global online signature campaign has been launched by a Chinese website - Sina.com to protest media distortions of the March 14 Lhasa riot in Tibet. (China.org.cn)
