A company in China has developed the world's fastest server with the most cost-effective big data search capability, according to big data testing service TPCBenchmark Express-BigBench.

The server, called I620-G30, can complete 3,383.95 big data searches per minute at the cost of US$307.86 per search.

The new server can complete a search twice as fast and at half the price of what was possible in the last century, said Qin Xiaoning, vice president of Sugon.

Sugon is a leader in high-performance computing, server, storage, and cloud computing and big data in China.
