Huang Huaqi, the leading tax official of Enshi City in central China's Hubei Province, has been investigated for discipline violation, the provincial disciplinary watchdog said on Thursday.

Huang became the deputy director of the taxation bureau in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in July 1998, and was named the director in August 2009.

Further investigation is underway.
