The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, voted to appoint Wang Xia, replacing Li Bin, as the Minister in charge of the National Population and Family Planning Commission.
The legislature made the appointment decision on Saturday during its bimonthly session which began on Monday.
