The Standing Committee of thethe Provincial People's Congress of Shandong held a meeting Wednesday to vote on the removal of Zhang Wanqing, former Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial government, the local newspaper Dazhong Daily reported.

Zhang, 56 years old, has been investigated since April, according to the local discipline watchdog. There was no further details.
