Last year, I became very sick.

Even eating was difficult. I lost my appetite and I couldn't do anything. I felt very bad. I had to stop school for almost one year because I couldn't get out of bed.

This picture shows the mat on which I rested. One year is a long time!

My sister helped me a lot. She stayed close to me. Sometimes she said, "Brisco, wake up, leave your bed and come outside for some fresh air!" It took a lot of strength for me to stand up. She took my hand and led me outside the house. [? Brendan Bannon/MSF]
