Two workers were killed and five were injured Friday when a huge bridge building machine toppled over at a construction site in east China's Zhejiang Province.

The bridge girder construction machine tipped over at around 1:20 p.m. at the Pingli Road project's construction site in Dayun Town, Jiashan County, said a spokesman with the county government information office.

The injured, including two seriously hurt, were taken to hospital.

It is not known how many of the seven fell off the machine and how many were on the ground when the accident happened, the office said.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
