Death toll in killing spree rises to 13

The death toll in a central China killing spree rose to 13 Monday after another victim died of the injuries, police said.
The latest victim was a woman in her 60s who was related to the alleged killer Liu Aibing, said a police spokesman in Anhua County, Hunan Province.
Liu, 34, killed 12 people and seriously injured two early Saturday, a county public security department spokesman said.
The remaining injured person was still being treated at a local hospital, he said.
Liu was arrested at about 6:50 a.m. Sunday on a hill in Qingtang township, in Anhua County. About 1,000 police were involved in the manhunt.
Liu allegedly fired a hunting rifles at the victims and set fire to six homes in his remote mountain village in Gaoming township at 5 a.m. Saturday.
Among the dead were Liu's father, nephew and other near relatives. The dead were aged 6 to 86.
Liu returned home two months ago from Hunan's neighboring province of Guangdong, where he was a migrant worker. He has a history of mental illness.
Police are continuing to investigate.
