The "Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2010" opened on Saturday in southern China's Hainan Province.

This year's theme is "Green Recovery," with a focus on the continent's sustainable growth in the wake of the economic downturn.

Chinese Vice President, Xi Jinping, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. He emphasized the importance of greener development for the Chinese and Asian economies.
