On April 6, a lecture by the title of "The Strength of Honesty and Integrity," was given by Master Hsing Yun at the Boao Forum for Asia 2013. 87-year-old Master Hsing Yun is the founder of Buddha's Light International Association. In his lecture, the master called for a return to honesty and integrity in Chinese society.

When it comes to the Chinese dream, Master Hsing Yun spoke of his personal view on the Chinese dream. "Everyone has a dream and this dream will come true in the future," said the master. He believed that the Chinese dream should make everyone feel happy and safe. He also pointed out that the Chinese dream should narrow the wealth gap in our society and offer us a fair society. "Every Chinese should enjoy the benefits that come from the development of our society; that is my understanding of the Chinese dream", explained Master Hsing Yun.

The Boao Forum for Asia is one of Asia's biggest annual economic meetings. The theme of this year's conference is "Asia Seeking Development for All: Restructuring, Responsibility & Cooperation." There will be 54 sessions altogether, including the Opening Plenary,18 sub-sessions,15 roundtables, six close-door meetings, four luncheon sessions, two dinner sessions, seven dialogue sessions and one evening talk. More than ten state and government leaders from across Asia and other regions will be invited to the three-day forum, which runs from April 6 to April 8 in Boao, a coastal town in southern China's Hainan Province.
