From January to November, Beijing's general public budget revenue reached 597.92 billion yuan ($83.7 billion), a year-on-year increase of 2.7%, according to the Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau.

Tax revenue accounted for 85.5% of the fiscal revenue, among the highest levels in the country, according to the authority.

For the three major tax categories, value added tax reached 183.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Corporate income tax totaled 138.27 billion yuan, up 0.4% year-on-year. And individual income tax amounted to 69.5 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.7% compared to the previous year.

The growth in value added tax was primarily due to the increase in the sales of products and services driven by industries such as information and technology. While the growth in corporate income tax was mainly due to improved business performance and profit growth in key industries such as finance.

From January to November, Beijing's general public budget expenditure totaled 743.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.6%.

Among the expenditures, spending on science and technology was 45.74 billion yuan, education expenditure was 113.02 billion yuan, social security and employment expenditure was 111.22 billion yuan, and urban and rural community expenditure was 88.61 billion yuan, with year-on-year increases of 5.9%, 3.9%, 5.8%, and 13%, respectively.
