7 Chinese firms list in NYSE in first half of year

Seven Chinese companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) through initial public offerings in the first half of the year, statistics released by NYSE Euronext show.

NYSE Euronext led the U.S. market for IPOs in 2010, with a record 22 Chinese companies listing on the bourse.

The seven Chinese companies included social networking website Renren.com, computer security software provider Qihoo 360 Technology Co., news firm Phoenix New Media, children's Web portal Taomee Holdings, mobile internet service provider NetQin Mobile Inc., commercial wheel maker Zhengxing Wheel Group Co Ltd. and men's fashion retailer Zuoan Fashion Ltd.

The seven companies raised a total of US$1.333 billion via their share offerings, accounting for 80 percent of all funds raised by Chinese listings in the U.S.

Five of the seven firms are in the tech sector. Shares of Qihoo 360 jumped 134 percent in its debut on March 29, the third best first-day performance of a U.S.-listed firm in the last ten years.

The top two spots are held by two other Internet companies from China: the country's top search engine Baidu.com and top online video portal Youku.com. Baidu.com surged 354 percent in its market debut in 2005, while Youku.com rocketed 161 percent on its first day of trading last December.

今年上半年已有7家中國公司在紐交所通過IPO上市，分別是社交網(wǎng)站人人網(wǎng)、電腦安全軟件提供商奇虎360、新聞公司鳳凰網(wǎng)、兒童網(wǎng)絡(luò)門戶淘米、手機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)服務(wù)提供商網(wǎng)秦、輪胎廠商正興車輪和男士服裝公司左岸服飾。

7家公司的融資總額為13.33億美元(包括綠鞋條款為14.92億美元)，占今年中國公司赴美IPO融資的80%。

7家公司中有5家屬于科技企業(yè)。奇虎360公司3月29日上市當(dāng)天股價大漲134%，成為過去10年間美國資本市場上市首日漲幅第三高的IPO。

前兩名為中國最大的搜索引擎百度和最大的視頻網(wǎng)站優(yōu)酷。2005年，百度上市首日股價暴漲354%，而優(yōu)酷則在去年12月的首個交易日股價上漲161%。
