Apple's iPhone 5, will be completed by early or mid August and will go on sale in the last week of August, according to BGR.

Apple's fifth-generation iPhone, or iPhone 5, will be completed by early or mid August and will go on sale in the last week of August, the tech blog Boy Genius Report said.

Boy Genius said it has independently confirmed that the next-generation iPhone will not merely be an upgraded iPhone 4, as had been previously rumored.

Rumor was rife that Apple would unveil the new iPhone, as well as its iPod 3, in September, but a credible source told the Boy Genius Report that Apple will hold a special conference to launch the long-awaited smart phone in August.

Some Taiwanese suppliers for Apple's iPhone and iPad have cut production of parts for iPhone 4, a move read by industrial analysts as paving the way for the debut of the iPhone 5, according to a report by Taiwanese tech Web site DigitTimes.

日前，向來(lái)消息靈通的科技博客BGR再次發(fā)布獨(dú)家消息披露，新一代iPhone預(yù)計(jì)在今年八月中上旬發(fā)布發(fā)布，在八月份的最后一周開(kāi)始出貨。

新一代iPhone將不會(huì)是目前在各大運(yùn)營(yíng)商高管手中測(cè)試的那款iPhone4S,，其外形將會(huì)有較大的變化。

按照之前普遍的看法，蘋(píng)果將在9月召開(kāi)大會(huì)推出新一代iPhone，甚至有可能與新款iPod一起發(fā)布。而最新的消息披露，蘋(píng)果可能會(huì)特別為新一代iPhone舉辦專門的發(fā)布活動(dòng)推出這款備受期待的手機(jī)。

值得一提的是，根據(jù)臺(tái)灣媒體DigiTimes的報(bào)導(dǎo)，目前為蘋(píng)果iPhone以及iPad提供PCB（印制電路板）的部分臺(tái)灣供應(yīng)商已經(jīng)減少了該配件的訂單。而在坊間人士看來(lái)，供應(yīng)商此舉是為了減少iPhone4的發(fā)貨量，為即將到來(lái)的iPhone5做配件上的準(zhǔn)備。
