Operational railway mileage in China will reach about 120,000 kilometers by 2015.

China's railroad ministry said it has confirmed railroad investment of 745.5 billion yuan for 2011, including 600 billion yuan in infrastructure construction. China will continue to accelerate the pace of railway construction over the next four years, completing 30,000 kilometers of new railway lines and investing a planned total of 2.8 trillion in railway projects, according to the government,s latest five-year plan. Operational railway mileage in China will reach about 120,000 kilometers by 2015.
