Suning Appliance Co yesterday announced a plan to lift sales of its online store by four times this year.

China's largest electrical appliance retailer by number of stores said it would add daily household necessities to the online store while expanding its core business in selling appliances.

Sales of Suning's online store totaled 2 billion (US$304 million) last year, almost tripling that in 2009.

China's online sales of appliances may hit 92.5 billion yuan in 2012, more than double last year's, said Gfk, a market research firm based in Germany.
