Chinese equities weakened at their openings Tuesday after climbing to its one-month high Monday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 7.09 points, or 0.27 percent to 2,581.59.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 16.96 points, or 0.16 percent to open at 10,574.17.
