Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (DFAC), China's largest light commercial vehicle manufacturer, said its vehicle sales in May reached 23,726 units.

Production hit 21,742 units in the same month, a statement filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange Saturday by the company said.

Vehicle sales during the first five months amounted to 122,563 units, according to the statement.

DFAC vehicle sales reached 207,700 units in 2009, up 21.6 percent compared to 2008, according to its 2009 annual business report.
