Chinese equities closed down Friday morning with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 38.70 points, or 1.36 percent to end at 2,814.85 in the morning session.
The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 1.66 percent, or 190.45 points to close at 11,285. 43.
The combined turnover was 62.68 billion yuan (9.22 billion U.S. dollars).
