Traveling to more than 20 cities & capturing over 100 Uygur people, photographer Kurbanjan Samat hopes he can present the true image of the Uygur people following terror attacks. "They are just like you and me, who are striving for a better life."

The author was born in the year 1982, he is now a photographer in CCTV Documentary Channel. In a very famous food program “A Bite of China (II)”, he filmed the Xinjiang part.
