Wang, who recently penned "Human Destiny: Institutional Governance," addressed nearly 200 attendees at the university's Selwyn College, discussing the evolution of human society and its potential trajectory.

"Human society has evolved from clan tribes to continental and maritime civilizations, then to digital civilization," Wang said. "Each step reflects humanity's ongoing exploration to forge a path forward for its destiny."

Wang suggested that future civilization could better reflect humanity's core nature than past eras. "And this is the 'cosmic civilization' — a civilization defined by coexistence, common progress, mutual benefit and shared prosperity," she said.

In her speech, Wang envisioned a future civilization that prioritizes reverence for life, compassion for all people and the pursuit of global harmony. She outlined five core values essential to this civilization: connection, harmony, symbiosis, co-creation and sharing.

As CEO of Newland Group, a Digital China pioneer and a national political advisor of China, she shared insights from her multifaceted career. Wang's presentation explored innovation's impact on governance, strategies for women's empowerment in the digital age, and how cultural fusion could reshape global governance models.

As a prominent female figure, Wang emphasized women's multifaceted roles in modern society. She stressed that women must nurture compassion and inclusiveness while developing broader perspectives and vision.

Drawing on her extensive experience in entrepreneurship, corporate innovation and governance, Wang has persistently explored profound questions surrounding human destiny and global governance. This intellectual journey culminated in her book series, including "Human Destiny: Institutional Governance," the English edition of which was officially launched by Foreign Language Press under China International Communications Group at the 2025 London Book Fair on March 12.

The event, chaired by Alan Barrell, executive chairman of Cambridge Worldwide Associates, featured an opening address by Professor Gishan Dissanaike, dean of Cambridge Judge Business School.

Dissanaike noted that Wang's visit strengthened China-U.K. ties and cultural understanding, contributing to bilateral and global progress.

In her book, Wang describes the global governance system as humanity's most revolutionary evolution, arguing it could enable humankind to transcend primitive instincts and usher in a new era of civilization.

"As citizens of our global village, we are now in the new era," she said. "We share the same heaven and earth. One world, one dream. One humanity, one family."
