After attracting an avalanche of adulation from critics and audiences alike, Alfonso Curon's "Gravity" is finally coming to China.

The 3D science fiction thriller is being brought to Chinese screens ahead of schedule, opening here in the mainland on November 19th.

The film stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as astronauts who survive the mid-orbit collision between space shuttle and floating debris.

Bullock had a little message in store for Chinese film fans despite getting her dates abit mixed up.

"Dajiahao. I'm Sandra Bullock. Thank you so much for your support and remember to check out 'Gravity' on November 20th. Xiexie."

Written by Cuaron and his son Jonas, the story line even includes a special appearance from Chinese space station Tiangong.

Since holding its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival back in August, the film has attracted praise for its stunning and powerful use of 3D post-production techniques.

Variety magazine proclaims that the film "restores a sense of wonder, terror and possibility tio the big screen" while "Avatar" director James Cameron names it "the best space film ever done"

"Gravity" is poised to arrive on Chinese screens next Tuesday.
