Myanmar will attend the 5th Film Festival of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to be held in Bali, Indonesia in late this month under a culture exchange program of the regional grouping, according to the film circle Thursday.

Aimed at introducing impressive films of the ASEAN members and recognizing ASEAN's cultural contribution to the world, the festival is scheduled to take place from Nov. 16 to 17.

On behalf of Myanmar, a famous Myanmar film-maker and Director of Myanmar Motion Picture Enterprise U Win Thu will take part with Myanmar film titled "Zaw Ka Ka Nay Thi" at the festival under the theme of "ASEAN-The Global Film Connection".

Coinciding with the 18th Annual ASEAN Summit in Bali, the festival will be joined by professional artists from 10 ASEAN member countries.

Attached with the festival will be a seminar on different perspective view on ASEAN film, the sources said, adding that international films focusing on ASEAN culture will also be screened.
