The exhibition At the Crossroads of Tradition and Modernity is running at the Beijing Sanpin Art Gallery. It showcases dozens of photos, ethnic attire and books that provide glimpses of Azerbaijan's past and present.

The exhibits present the country's picturesque natural scenery, profound cultural heritage and latest urban construction. The show ended on June 1.

Azerbaijan was hailed as a "jewel" among the treasure trove of locations along the Ancient Silk Road that connected the East and West in ancient times.

Both China and Azerbaijan boast a long history and rich culture. The two countries established diplomatic relations in April 1992.
