The Spanish National Ballet will perform "Dualia & La Leyenda", directed by Jose Antonio, at the Opera House of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) at 7:30pm, May 18 – 19.

It is not an easy thing for 40 people to move their feet and hit the stage in unison; it's even less easy for 40 people to feel the music and lose themselves, en masse, in the symphony. Antonio promises that the neat and quick footsteps of those 40 dancers will echo with the beating hearts of excited audience members.

While touring in South America, Antonio stated that he has very deep feelings for Spanish culture. The Spanish press, however, commented that his creative approach is damaging to traditional Flamenco.

Antonio prefers to use three colours – black, white and red – on stage, and advocates choreography in the style of shooting a movie. He seeks to surprise his audiences with every moment of performance, which is why he is considered to be one of the most demanding and revolutionary masters of Flamenco.

Antonio will accompany the Spanish National Ballet on their NCPA residency from May 18.
