Golden Compass on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. She was selected
through an internet survey as the Chinese Lyra, the heroine in the
movie.

internet survey as the Chinese Lyra, the heroine in the upcoming
movie The Golden Compass.
Tungstar reported on Wednesday that over 10,000 people who took
the survey voted Ella from among all female stars in Taiwan, saying
Ella resembles Lyra the most when it comes to having an adventurous
spirit.
Ella rejoiced at the news and thanked her fans at a promotional
event for the movie on Tuesday.
The fantasy movie The Golden Compass is based on the
first story of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials
trilogy.
The movie is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 7.
