Newly-born Giant Panda Twins in Chengdu

Giant panda Er Yatou holds one of her newly-born cubs at a giant panda breeding center in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province August 20, 2007. The cubs, a female and a male, were born at midnight Saturday, weighing 160 and 170 grams, respectively. This year has seen 16 newborns by giant pandas kept in captivity, including seven pair of twins.

The cub is one of the female twins borne by Er Yatou on Saturday. This year has seen 16 newborns by giant pandas kept in captivity, including seven pair of twins.
