Spaniard Quique Setien has resigned as head coach of Beijing Guoan for personal and family reasons, the Chinese Super League (CSL) club announced on Sunday.
Setien took charge of Beijing Guoan on Dec. 10, 2024. The club led the CSL standings in the first half of the current season but has struggled for consistency in recent weeks. After 26 rounds, Guoan sits fourth with 15 wins, six draws and five losses, with four matches remaining.
