The five-day 2025 Beijing Animation Festival concluded at the Beijing Exhibition Center on Monday, with 14 cooperation deals signed totaling over 111 million yuan (US$15.59 million).
The event drew more than 35,000 visitors and over 75 million online views, while registering a total revenue of more than 15 million yuan from visitors and online consumers.
During the festival, over 100 screenings of animated films were held offline. A total of 101 quality productions were made available online for free over three months, reaching more than 458 million people.
The 48-hour AIGC Animation Challenge, the first reality show of its kind, received over 110 design submissions and more than 500 youth competition entries, with 18 works shortlisted.
At the closing ceremony of the animation festival, multiple honors and industry achievements were announced. Altogether, 20 works were rated as outstanding or recommended projects.
