Artificial intelligence was the highlight of the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which opened Wednesday in Nanning, southern China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The CAEXPO featured a 10,000-square-meter pavilion dedicated to AI, showcasing about 1,200 products.
A pair of AI-powered glasses was the centerpiece. While appearing no different from ordinary eyewear, the device integrates multiple features such as the ability to display text real-time. It also supports real-time interpretation and translation between more than 40 languages.
Another highlight was the iFlytek Spark translation service, which can generate simultaneous interpretation in seven languages including Chinese, English, Burmese, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, and Vietnamese.
The exhibition also featured a wide array of other AI products, including an electronic drum set that can respond to sound and a translation device supporting 282 languages and accents.
