The National Aquatics Center provided free access to its sports facilities for educators on Sept. 10 to celebrate China's 41st Teachers' Day.
Teachers with valid credentials could access swimming pools, including professional lanes at the Water Cube and facilities at Communication University of China, as well as curling and skating at the venue's ice sports arena.
The event attracted 167 teachers for swimming and 118 for ice sports, totaling 285 participants throughout the day.
As a dual Olympic venue dedicated to promoting the Olympic spirit and social responsibility, the National Aquatics Center used the event to show appreciation for teachers while promoting the value of education through sports, according to venue representatives.
