Editor's Note: StayReal, the fashion brand co-founded by Chinese rock band Mayday's lead singer Ashin, opened a pop-up exhibition at a Beijing shopping mall in July, drawing crowds during the band's month-long tour stop in the Chinese capital.
The "StayReal Park" installation at The New mall in Beijing's Xidan area features interactive displays and local art installations, marking the brand's 18th anniversary. The exhibition, which opened July 11, coincides with Mayday's 25th anniversary concert tour at Beijing's National Stadium (Bird's Nest), which runs through Aug. 17, driving increased foot traffic to the mall.
The pop-up includes lyric walls and tributes to local culture, including references to Beijing's Lord Rabbit folklore figure, blending the band's musical identity with regional cultural elements.
StayReal was launched in 2007 as a collaboration between Ashin, whose real name is Chen Hsin-hung , and graphic designer Chen Boliang, known professionally as No2Good.
