Spanish cyclist Enric Mas has said goodbye to the season due to injury, his Movistar Team confirmed on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old, who finished third in last year's Tour of Spain and second in 2022, 2021 and 2018, was forced to pull out of this year's Tour de France in the 18th stage due to his physical problems.

Movistar confirmed he will not race again in 2025 due to a thrombophlebitis in his left leg, which the team believes could have its origin in a fall earlier this season.

"This diagnosis requires a specific treatment based on rest and the absence of intense physical activity, which makes him participation in competitions for the rest of the season impossible," explains the team.
