The 2025 (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo concluded in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, bringing substantial economic results and expanded international reach, said its organizers on Wednesday.

Contracts worth over 417.9 billion yuan (about 58.4 billion U.S. dollars) were signed, encompassing 365 economic and trade cooperation projects. On-site sales totaled 1.89 billion yuan, with a further 3.25 billion yuan in preliminary agreements. The expo saw nearly 260,000 visits and featured 65 trade and investment events.

Li Xuan, Party secretary of Xinjiang's commerce department, highlighted the event's breakthroughs from its record scale to improved global engagement, and elevated focus on frontier industries.

The expo attracted participants from 50 countries and regions, including first-time exhibitors from Ethiopia, Zambia, the Comoros, and Senegal. A total of 27 countries had dedicated pavilions. With more than 10,000 registered buyers and professional attendees, this number surpassed all previous editions combined.

Li also highlighted this year's content innovations, such as the debut of a strategic emerging industries zone, spotlighting advancements in AI, low-altitude economy, and new displays. Digital tech exhibits featured AI models, VR, and smart devices, while the popular AI zone showcased bionic humanoid robots and intelligent prosthetic hands.

The expo reached an unprecedented scale of 140,000 square meters, hosting over 1,800 exhibitors from home and abroad.
